Chipotle BBQ Seasoning Rub

Our F+F Chipotle BBQ Seasoning Rub is smoky with just the right amount of heat; a bold blend of spicy flavors combining the smoky spiciness of chipotle peppers with the subtle sweetness of honey.

Spicy Pulled Pork

Prep time: 15 minutes + 24 hours
Cook time: 10 hours
Serves: 6 people

Ingredients:

  • Pork shoulder roast, approximately 4 lbs.
  • 1/2 cup F+F Chipotle BBQ Seasoning Rub
  • F+F Honey Habanero Sauce

Directions:

  1. Season all sides with F+F Chipotle BBQ Seasoning Rub and store in refrigerator for 24 hrs.
  2. When ready to cook, set the smoker/grill/oven temperature to 225°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
  3. Set the roast directly on the grill/smoker grate or in a roasting pan in the oven, fat layer up.
  4. Close and cook until the internal temperature reaches 200℉, approximately 10 hours.
  5. Remove roast from grill/oven and let rest, lightly covered with foil, for 20 minutes before pulling apart with forks.

After pulling apply F+F Honey Habanero Sauce.

Baby Back Ribs

Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 8–10 hours
Serves: 6 people

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks beef baby back ribs
  • 1/2 cup F+F Chipotle BBQ Seasoning Rub

Directions:

  1. If your butcher has not already done so, remove the thin, papery membrane from the bone-side of the ribs by working the tip of a butter knife underneath the membrane over a middle bone. Use paper towels to get a firm grip, then tear the membrane off.
  2. Season both sides of ribs with F+F Chipotle BBQ Seasoning Rub.
  3. When ready to cook, set the smoker/grill temperature to 225°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
  4. Set the ribs directly on the grill grates, bone-side
  5. Close the lid and cook until the internal temperature reaches 205℉, approximately 8–10 hours.
  6. Remove ribs from grill and let rest, lightly covered with foil, for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.

Smoky Chicken Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shredded or chopped cooked chicken; this is perfect made with a rotisserie chicken
  • 1 honey crisp apple cored and chopped to preferred size
  • 2 celery stalk sliced
  • 3 scallions chopped
  • 2 roasted red peppers chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt of your choice
  • Squeeze of lemon
  • 3 tablespoons F+F Chipotle BBQ Seasoning Rub

Directions:

  1. Mix yogurt, lemon juice, F+F Chipotle BBQ Seasoning Rub with salt and pepper to taste
  2. Add in chicken, apple, celery, scallions and roasted red peppers
  3. Mix well

Chipotle Barbecue Sauce

Cook time: 25 minutes
Servings: 2 cups

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1-1/2 apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons F+F Chipotle BBQ Seasoning Rub
  • 1 teaspoon kosher sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium Add onions and garlic and sauté, stirring often, until soft and translucent, about 8 minutes.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, seasoning with salt and stir to combine and reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring periodically, for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool. Store in covered container in refrigerator for up to a month.
